In the past couple of years, Chase had the similar 60,000 offers a few times and also had a one-time 70,000 points offer (but without the annual fee waiver).
The regular signup offer for Chase Ink Plus is 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points. Now for a limited time, Chase has increased the signup bonus to 60,000 points while keeping the annual fee waived for the first year, saving $95. There is no online link - you have to open the new account in a Chase branch. You need to spend $5,000 within 3 months to get the signup bonus.

Looks like Chase has pulled Ink Bold from its website. And since the public 70K offer for Ink Plus has expired, the best public link for Ink Plus is now back to 50,000 points. As usual, you need to spend $5,000 within 3 moths of account opening to receive 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points which can be transferred to United, British, Korean, Singapore, Southwest, Hyatt etc. The first year annual fee is waived (saving $95). There are reports that you can still walk in to a Chase branch to get Ink Plus 70K and Ink Bold 50K - you can try it but we don't think those offers will last long.
Landing page for Ink Plus 50,000 points Even though the public link for the Chase United Explorer Card's 55,000 miles bonus offer has expired, you can still use the following method to see if you qualify for this offer by December 15, 2014.
1. Visit UnitedExplorerCard.com/50bonus 2. On the page, log in into your United MP account and if your page is redirected to https://www.theexplorercard.com/50kAFW then you qualify for the 55K offer. You will need to spend $2,000 within 3 months to get 50,000 miles. And if you add an authorized user and s/he uses the card for the first time, you will receive an additional 5,000 miles. Like always, the $95 annual fee is waived for the first year. We blogged about the at branch only 70K Ink Plus offer back in July. Today the same offer is open to everyone online, saving you a trip to your local branch. You need to pay the $95 annual fee and spend $5,000 within 3 months of card opening to receive 70,000 Ultimate Rewards points, which can be worth $875 when redeemed for travel or can be transferred to frequent travel programs such as United, British, Korean Air, Hyatt, etc., at 1:1 ratio.
The Landing Page The Application Page Like always, we only post public available links with no referral commission given to us or anyone else, which we think is the only way to have unbiased articles and reviews. Chase United MP Explorer 55,000 miles & $50 credit & 1st year free (public limited time offer)8/1/2014 Chase has quietly kept the 55K offer on its United MileagePlus Explorer Visa Signature for quite many United customers for a long time. See our previous post for example.
Now through September 2, 2014, Chase has made this offer public to anyone, also throwing in $50 to make it sweeter: you will get $50 statement credit after your first purchase; you need to spend $2,000 within first 3 months to get 50,000 miles and if you add an authorized user and make the first use you will have another 5,000 miles. Note that if you spend $25,000 a year, you will get another 10,000 miles on your anniversary, which is a standard feature. After the landing page, you need to log into your United account. If you don't have one, spend 2 minutes to create one. Landing Page for 55K +$50 offer Last month, Chase temporarily increased the signup bonus of both Ink Business Cards (Ink Plus and Ink Bold) from 50,000 points to 60,000 points, with the normal 1st year annual fee waiver. Those links expired at the end of June and the Chase website now has the regular 50K offers with 1st year free.
It has been reported that Chase is running a new promotion for Ink Plus only at their branches - you will receive 70,000 Ultimate Rewards points, which can be transferred to United, Southwest, British Airways, Korean Air, Hyatt, etc., after you spend $5,000 within 3 months of card opening. However, unlike the regular offer, the 1st year annual fee ($95) is not waived. In our opinion, this is the best offer Chase has ever given for the Ink Business Card and it is worth a trip to your local branch. Interestingly, the offer for Ink Bold at branch is exactly the same as on Chase website - 50,000 points. For those who signed up Ink Plus in June for the 60,000 points, you can even try to send a secure message to Chase asking them to match the 70,000 points offer. You can say something like you went into a local branch and saw the promotion material and wonder if it is possible to match to the better deal. Some people have reported they succeeded in doing so while keeping the 1st year free. Sweet deal if you can do that. Of course it is totally up to Chase representatives, but it is worth a shot. Since the 60K offers for Ink Bold and Ink Plus Business Cards have expired, we are posing the regular 50K offers here: you need to spend $5,000 within 3 months to receive 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points which can be transferred to partners such as United, Southwest, British, Korean, Hyatt, etc. As always the $95 annual fee is waived for the first year. Since Ink Bold and Ink Plus are consider two different products, you can actually get both offers. Chase may bring back the 60K offers in the future, but there is no guarantee. So it is up to you if you want to jump on or wait.
Landing page for Ink Bold 50K Landing page for Ink Plus 50K [All links expired] Chase has just brought back the 60K offers, temporarily increased from the regular 50K, for two Ink Business Cards - Ink Bold and Ink Plus. This is the best offer we have ever seen on these cards - a similar deal was offered last year in June for about a week so hurry up if you want one this time. You need to spend $5,000 within 3 months to get the 60,000 points. As always the $95 annual fee is waived for the first year. Note that it has been getting more difficult to get approved for two Chase cards on the same day and our suggestion is that if you never had Ink before just apply for either one. Ink Bold and Ink Plus share the same features except that the former is a charge card (you need to pay full after each statement) while the latter is a credit card. If you have one of them now, you can still apply for the other without closing the current card since they are considered two different products.
The non-fee Ink Cash Business Card also has an increased signup bonus of 30,000 points, up from the regular 20,000. You need to spend $3,000 within 3 months to get 30,000 points. Application page for Ink Bold 60K Application page for Ink Plus 60K Application page for Ink Cash 30K Since early 2012, the best offer for Chase Sapphire Preferred, which is one of our favorite cards, has always been 40,000 points after $3,000 spending within three months. Late last year, Chase added an extra 5,000 points to the standard 40K signup offer if you add an authorized user and make a purchase within 3 months from the account opening, which is not hard to achieve at all. We did not blog about it since the landing page stayed the same as before. However, recently Chase has been experimenting changing the annual fee on this card (the first year is always free) - we have seen three different versions: $95 as before, $125, and $149. To clear confusions, we would like to link to the best offer that is available:
Landing page (40K + 5K, 1st year free, $95/year thereafter) Application page (40K + 5K, 1st year free, $95/year thereafter, updated 9/26/2015) The 55K offer for Chase United MP Explorer personal card has been around for a while, we also learn that there is a 50K offer for the business card version of this card. You need to spend $2,000 within 3 months to obtain the 50K miles. Again there is no public link, and you need to do the following steps to see if it works for you:
1. Go to united.com and log in to your MP account. 2. Click on the MP Explorer credit card logo somewhere on the home page and that will take you to the landing page for both MP Explorer and MP Club. 3. If you see 50,000 miles offer to the MP Explorer then you are targeted. If you don't, you can try step 4 to see if you get the 50K offer. 4. Click on the MP Club Visa tab and you may see that you qualify for 1st annual fee waiver for that card. Then click back on the MP Explorer Visa tab and very likely you will be surprised to see now you qualify for the 50K offer. |
